One-on-one session
FireProof Strategy Session
Stop the Fire Drills. Get Your Focus Back.
Are you constantly putting out team fires like constantly chasing down deadlines, correcting quality mistakes, and dealing with the same team drama (over and over)?
You didn't start your business to spend your days stuck in cleanup mode. You started it to have more freedom, create something special, and make a bigger impact in the world.
So let’s get you out of firefighter mode and back into the CEO seat!
In just 60 minutes, the FireProof Strategy Session will help you identify the single root cause of a fire you’re currently fighting.
You’ll walk away with the exact, small strategic adjustment you need to extinguish the fire for good with a simple, actionable plan.
Stop managing chaos and start leading your business and team.
You didn’t realize that leading a successful business and team meant you would also begin a new career as a firefighter. 👩🚒
Every day, it feels like a new fire pops up and you’re the one left holding the fire hose, fighting for your life. Stop, drop, and roll…or something like that, right?
Not only are you putting the fires out, you’re carrying the heavy weight of responsibility that’s causing you to stress-sweat through your Egyptian cotton sheets every night, send panic-induced emails to your team during family dinner, and promise to look at “just one more email” that eventually eats up your whole weekend.
Something’s gotta give.
Given how much growth you’ve already achieved in your business, you’re thinking, “This shouldn’t still be happening.” But it is, because the real issue hasn’t been named, let alone solved.
After working with over 100 clients across multiple industries, I’ve identified four core “fire buckets” that hinder both their personal happiness and their company growth.
4 Core Fires Leaders Experience
MISTAKES
Critical errors that erode team trust & damage client relationships.
Scenario: It’s 9:30am and the wrong document already landed in the client’s inbox. The team’s scrambling, no one knows who owns the error or the fix, and the client’s emailing about contradictions on Page 12. Your Slack pings, and you're yanked out of your morning CEO time to rewrite the doc, smooth things over with the client, and deal with the team fallout — again.
MISALIGNMENT
Wasted time and resources on incorrect priorities & needs.
Scenario: You asked your team to "update the client onboarding process." Days later, one member built a training manual, another reimagined gifting, and no one touched the core documents. You cancel critical meetings to fix the materials, feeling aggravated that your team missed the fundamental priority.
MISCOMMUNICATION
Costly chaos from unclear instructions & gaps in communication.
Scenario: Your designer spent an afternoon creating assets the rest of your team can't use because specs were hidden in a private chat, not the project plan in Asana. The deadline is missed, and the team is pointing fingers. Now you have to audit every client file, forcing you to postpone work on the proposal that could land your biggest deal of the year.
MESSES
Chronic quality issues consuming your time & your sanity.
Scenario: You review this week’s blog post and find yourself making the same specific edits for the tenth time: typos, missing alt-text, and inconsistent heading sizes. You are the final quality control, spending every Friday afternoon copy-editing work that should have been publish-ready. You feel like you’ve told them your expectations until you’re blue in the face.
The Real Cost
The real cost of failing to put out these fires for good?
It's far greater than a missed deadline.
Instead of being the visionary leader setting the company direction, you're starting to feel more and more like the out-of-control micromanager you swore you'd never become.
You didn’t become a founder to spend your high-value hours chasing updates, rewriting documents, correcting basic quality errors, and wondering why your team can’t “just figure it out.”
And yet, the longer this chaos continues:
Your team waits for you to rescue and resolve, turning you into a crutch that stifles their critical thinking and execution skills.
Your constant need to audit creates resentment, lowering team quality because they assume you'll redo the work anyway.
Strategic proposals and high-level vision work are indefinitely postponed, costing your business revenue and future growth.
And worst of all? Every time you step in to fix what your team should be owning, you’re reinforcing a culture of dysfunction, where accountability and motivation dies.
It can often feel like one fire sparks another until your whole business is blazing out of control, and you’re the dog in the popular meme saying, “This is fine.”

I’m here to tell you, this is indeed not fine, my friend!
While the fire may feel like it’s consuming your whole business, keeping you tossing and turning at night…
The truth is that most fires that leaders like you face are simple misalignments in need of one minor adjustment to fully extinguish.
This isn't a fire you can afford to let burn.
Every day you spend dealing with the fallout is costing you big time with your
Company reputation and the quality of services or products you provide.
Team morale, which is a key driver for sustainable, high-performing teams.
Revenue growth, because you’re not able to focus on the right activities.
It's time you could be using to forge new partnerships, dream up new products, and guide your team toward your vision.
You probably think that if you had hired better people, or fired the ones causing all the trouble, the problem would take care of itself, but this is just a recipe for bigger, more out of control fires.
The fires exist because there’s a breakdown somewhere in your leadership approach. A communication issue, lack of clarity, or your ability to let go and trust your team to handle the things they were hired to do.
Imagine having a team that solves problems before you were even aware they existed, rely on one another instead of always running to you, and are accountable to you and each other.
This is exactly what’s possible for you in the FireProof Strategy Session!

Meet Ashley
This isn’t my first fire. 😉
With 18 years of experience as a leader and human resources professional, and nearly a decade as a small business owner, I’ve dealt with my fair share of team fires – and even started a few of my own (oops!).
I’ve led teams ranging from 1 to 350 employees, and I wasted a lot of time early on chasing far too many fires, leaving me worn out and questioning whether I was really cut out for the job.
Over the years, my experiences have taught me one important thing: The most common mistake leaders make is trying to hire or fire their way out of a problem. That strategy is expensive, exhausting, and simply not sustainable.
The truth is, most of the problems leaders face aren't actually about the people; they’re about your leadership approach.
My solution is to slow down in order to speed up.
By taking a focused pause, we can consider the root cause of the fire and address it at the core. This allows us to implement small, simple adjustments that lead to the most impactful and lasting change.
You deserve to stop fighting the same fire week after week. I’d love to show you how!
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Bring the one specific people-problem that is costing you the most time and mental energy right now. This could be anything from a team that constantly misses deadlines to a persistent communication issue with one team member, or even a current team conflict you’re experiencing. If it's a constant pain point, bring it to the call!
-
Yes! We aren't focused on surface-level symptoms. We’ll use the Fire Mapping Method to zero in on the single, core misalignment that’s causing the issue. By solving the root cause – the subtle misalignment – the visible problems disappear. It often takes just one strategic adjustment to make all the difference.
-
No. My work isn't about "fixing people." It's about helping you make the small, powerful adjustments to your leadership approach that transform team dynamics. We focus on clarifying expectations, implementing frameworks, and adjusting your leadership habits, not on personality flaws.
